Montagne Fiorentine Model Forest is a voluntary, nonprofit association.

Our Model Forest aims to improve the integration and sustainability of forest and land's management, increasing the cohesion and awareness of the network of all the social-economic components that directly or indirectly belong to our territory.

 
The Model Forest is an innovative governance instrument for rural and forested landscapes. It works in the fields of local products, commercial distribution, market, environment, tourism, and culture, always keeping in mind the concept of sustainability.

Model Forest also promotes information and knowledge sharing at local, regional and international level through the networks.

GOALS

Goals of the association are to:

• create a governance for our territory, increasing participation of all the stakeholders
• improve and promote a sustainable use of resources, wood firstly
• create sustainable, legal and local product chains

Montagne Fiorentine Model Forest is part of two important networks:

• Mediterranean Model Forest Network
• International Model Forest Network
